Koscielny fit for Arsenal opener, says Wenger
« on: August 14, 2014, 05:22:22 PM »

The France international centre-back came off at
half-time during the Gunners' 3-0 defeat of
Manchester City with an Achilles knock but is in
line to start the Premier League
Arsenal centre-back Laurent
Koscielny will be fit for their
Premier League opener against
Crystal Palace, says manager
Arsene Wenger.
The France international was
withdrawn at half-time during
Sunday's 3-0 Community Shield victory against
Manchester City, replaced by Nacho Monreal, but
Wenger is satisfied that the issue is not serious.
"Koscielny had a knock on his Achilles but he should be
available for Saturday," he told reporters.
New signing Calum Chambers, a 16 million arrival,
partnered Koscielny at Wembley and is expected to do
so again on Saturday.
Wenger also confirmed that goalkeeper David Ospina, a
summer purchase from Nice, is "two or three weeks
away" from being in a position to make his debut. We hope Arsenal doesn't make this a 3-0 opener like against Aston villa. Post by afoxy
