How to fix password recovery/ email not sending problem in smf
This could be a problem with your mail settings
Follow this steps to fix the problem
Difficulty Easy
Login to your Administration center

Under the Maintenance tab click Mail

Click the  Settings tab


Make sure the configuration is the same with mine


Mail type = SMTP

SMTP Server= localhost
SMTP Port= 25

Leave the rest alone and click save
Thats all your mail should start working fine now.
