If you run a website that uses database, you might want to backup your database to avoid loosing your files (Posts, Members...etc) Backing up your database is quite easy using control panel.. follow the steps below.
To backup your database: - Log into cPanel.
- In the Files section, click on the Backups icon.
- Under Download a MySQL Database Backup, click the name of the database you want to backup.
- In the pop-up that appears, select the Save File option and select a destination on your local machine where you would like the backup stored.
You can also easily restore your backedup database in case of any crash or serious problem follow the steps below
To restore your database: - Log into cPanel.
- In the Files section, click on the Backups icon.
- Under Restore a MySQL Database, click Browse.
- Select the .sql.gz file which you want restored.
- Click Open.
- Click Upload.
Your database would be restored and your website should start working shortly.....
whola!!! Its that easy... so start backing up your database to avoid loosing all your sites data to a serious crash/error
