MICROSOFT INTRODUCES NEW BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD
« on: September 16, 2014, 08:26:43 PM »

Microsoft finally releases the long awaited bluetooth Keyboard
This Universal Mobile Keyboard will hit retail stores in October with a $79.95 pricetag.

The included cover can prop up the keyboard and hold your device when in use, or detach if you need a little distance from the screen. When the cover is fully closed, the keyboard shuts off. Battery life will last 6 months on a single charge, and in a pinch, ten minutes of charging will provide 8 hours of use.

Wireless and portable!

Commenting on the Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000, Mr Satish Parreddi, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Retail Sales & Marketing, Microsoft Corporation (India) Pvt. Ltd said, “Consumers today want style, portability as well as comfort and our latest keyboard is the perfect companion to today’s mobile lifestyle. Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile keyboard 5000 is especially designed for people on the move and as the market for mobile products such as the Tablets and Laptops increases; this is poised to become an accessory consumers would definitely want”.

The Microsoft Bluetooth mobile keyboard weighs 0.4 kilograms, features 104 keys and comes in black. It works on the standard AAA removable batteries. There is no word on how long it works on a single set of batteries, but we’re hoping that the batteries last long enough. That has been the only drawback at present for wireless keyboards along with slower registration of key presses when batteries are dying. As mentioned earlier, the keyboard has been launched at a market price of Rs. 3,350 and is available ex-stock in stores across the country. The price does seem a tad expensive, but with multiplatform support and a foldable design, this new mobile keyboard might make for an interesting purchase.
