This morning, panic set up in an Airplane from Singapore heading to India, when a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 phone started emitting smoke.
Ndigo airlines flight 6E-054 going to Chennai airport, confirmed that passengers reported smoke on board and that air crew found it coming from the Phone in the overhead luggage of seat 23 C.
A Samsung spokeswoman was quoted saying
We are aware of an incident involving one of our devices.
At Samsung, customer safety is our highest priority. We are in touch with relevant authorities to gather more information and are looking into the matter.
