The Lumia 650 is the first Windows 10 Mobile handset from Microsoft to sport a premium design, featuring a brushed metal band around the edge of the handset accompanied by a matte plastic shell on the back. The handset comes in two colours, those of which being white or black. The black model looks like a typical Lumia handset, sporting a black back and front with dark metal sides, but the white model features not only a white back and silver metal, but a white front too, something of a rarity on Lumia handsets.

The Lumia 650 features a screen that sounds pretty old fashioned in writing. It's a 5-inch 720 x 1280 resolution display with 293ppi. Despite, on paper, sounding poor, it actually looks fine.

The rear camera on the Lumia 650 is an 8-megapixel, f/2.2, autofocus snapper with LED flash. In our limited time with it the response was rapid with quick opening and fast autofocus. Shooting in quick succession was also taken in the camera's stride. Perhaps some shots could have been brighter though, which is a worrying for night shots when you consider this was quite well lit.

This is a low-end handset, which is such a shame considering this is possibly the best looking Lumia ever released. The 650 is rocking a Quad-core Snapdragon 212 1.3 GHz Processor, 1GB RAM and a mediocre 5MP rear and front facing camera.

The Lumia 650 sports excellent battery life. It can help easily get through a work day with medium to heavy use. The device sports a 2000 mAh battery, which isn’t huge but when you consider the fact we’re rocking a low-resolution AMOLED screen along with a low-spec’d CPU.

The major let-down includes its being  powered by a lowly Qualcomm Snapdragon 212– a quad-core SoC running at 1.3GHz – and it has a meager 1GB of RAM, camera resolution and connectivity really pull the phone down.

  • OS: Microsoft Windows 10
  • CHIPSET: Qualcomm Snapdragon 212
  • CPU: Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7
  • MEMORY: Internal -16 GB, 1 GB RAM / microSD, up to 200 GB (dedicated slot)
  • CAMERA: primary -8 MP, f/2.2, 28mm, autofocus, LED flash / secondary -  5 MP, f/2.2, 720p video
  • CONNECTIONS: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, hotspot / NFC - YES / GPS - YES / Usb - microUSB v2.0
  • BATTERY :Removable Li-Ion 2000 mAh /  battery Up to  624 h (3G) on stand-by

In summary, for the money, its an OK device, its price group said to be 5/10. Least considering its viewing during the day (out door) and its management with battery, and its being on windows 10.
