The flagship HTC 10 is the phone we're expecting very shortly to replace the HTC One M9 that debuted last March. While Samsung and LG both launched their 2016 flagships...HTC didn't have any new phones to show off at the event - and now we know a new handset is imminent.
HTC has released a couple of sleek-looking phones since the One M9 so we already had a clue about a change in design direction - that seems to be confirmed by the numerous leaked images that have surfaced of the HTC 10.
Some of the features we've already seen from the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge and LG G5 this year are tipped to come to the HTC One M10 too, although these rumours aren't quite as strong as some of the others: full waterproofing and wireless charging might be on the cards, the rumours indicate, but don't hold your breath.
The Htc devices are larger than normal pixels and capable of capturing more light (which is better for taking pictures in the dark). But the HTC 10 has 12 million Ultrapixels in the rear camera, good enough to do the job.
HTC thinks the front-facing camera is just as important as the rear-facing camera. The camera, which they’re calling the “UltraSelfie camera” features 5MP, optical image stabilisation, and a f/1.8 aperture.Would be great for selfie lovers.
HTC has introduced a new feature called Personal Audio Profile. Everyone hears things differently (older ears can’t hear high frequencies, for example). HTC 10 allows you to tune an audio profile to your individual hearing.
As well as a 12 Ultrapixel sensor, the rear camera also has laser autofocus, a large f/1.8 aperture, and optical image stabilisation.
With the battery size of 3,000mAh, the device is said to last 2 days.
It is also going to serve as a perfect smartphone for multitasking and gamers as it features 4GB RAM and powerful Snapdragon 820 Processor which is world’s fastest mobile processor. Looking at the design prospect, it will feature all-metal unibody design.
The good news for consumers is better specifications and more features to play around with as the manufacturers look to stand out from the crowd.
HTC isn't afraid to plough its own furrow and there might be one or two surprises from the company - don't forget we've seen new flagship phones from
Google and Apple since the HTC One M9 debuted.
Some features in brief:
•Iris Eye Technology (expected)
•High-end Mulit tasking
•FingerPrint Scanner (on screen button)
•Wireless Fast Charging
•Innovative light design
•HTC Sense 8 UI
