Ovarian Cancer: Signs and Early Symptoms
« on: September 28, 2016, 11:23:48 AM »

In its early stages, ovarian cancer rarely causes any symptoms. As a result, ovarian cancer tends to be diagnosed at a more advanced stage which may come with few and nonspecific symptoms that are often mistaken for more common benign conditions, such as constipation or irritable bowel.

Because or no routine medical screenings for ovarian cancer, women with a family history of the disease or other risk factors should talk with their doctors about genetic testing and other steps they can take to monitor or reduce their risk.

Symptoms of ovarian cancer

. Persistent abdominal bloating, indigestion or nausea

. A frequent need to urinate

. Changes in bowel movement

. Feeling tired

. Discomfort in the pelvis area

. Quickly feeling full when eating.

Awareness of how your body normally feels and paying attention to symptoms that persist for several weeks can help guide your decision to meet with your doctor. Make an appointment with your doctor if you have any signs or symptoms that worry you ensure to include ovarian cancer as part of the problem.
