Samsung India Electronics has added a new
smartphone to its budget portfolio, Galaxy J. Named
as Galaxy J2, the 4G-LTE smartphone is tailor-made
to meet Indian consumer needs.
The Galaxy J2 has been developed at Samsung's India
R&D facilities, strengthening the company's
commitment to 'Make in India' and 'Make for India'.
Ranging from India-centric user interface themes to
the revolutionary Ultra Data Saving mode, the India
R&D team has played a key role in the overall
development of the device.
The Galaxy J2 runs Android 5.1
Lollipop, and features an Ultra Data Saving mode
powered by Opera Max.
Its data-optimization technology
can deliver up to 50% savings in mobile data and free
up to 11% of RAM, by reducing consumption on data-
hungry applications like YouTube, Instagram, or Vine.
Ultra Data Saving mode will also let Galaxy J2 owners
block individual apps from using cellular data.
It is also powered by a quad-core 1.3 GHz Exynos 3475
processor, the Galaxy J2 has a 4.7-inch display
with 540 x 960 pixels, further featuring: LTE
connectivity, 2 MP front-facing camera, 5 MP rear
camera, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of expandable storage
space, and a 2000 mAh battery.
The J2 is still pretty new, so much can't be said about it right now. But with this few info you should know what its about.
