- Facebook's new feature lets you chat with strangers on any topic you are interested in.
Most recent update on Facebook, has been the news about a new feature. Report states that Facebook is currently testing a new feature for its Messenger app.
Report called the new feature ‘Rooms,’ this it is a bulletin board-style feature allowing users to participate in public conversations that are focused on delicate topics. Facebook has rolled out the new feature already in Canada and Australia.
The new feature, will be rolled out to limited users in few countries and will be part of Messenger. It is said to be a "bulletin board-style and real-time messaging" feature. The Messenger app gives users the ability to create groups and talk about different topics. However, these conversations are private between friends, what the rooms feature does is making you able to chat with strangers. This allows users discuss a range of topics in the Messenger Rooms – Football, election, tradition, art, movies, a music concert, and much more.
Each room will have a link that users can share, allowing anyone with Messenger to join the conversation. Well according to Moxon, the new Messenger Rooms feature will give space to users for discussing topics with anyone who's interested about the topic and won't be limited to just friends or family.
With this new update Facebook's plan to revive its public group chat feature just became official. If the new idea is used well it would be a great feature on Facebook. For other countries that do not have the update, they would have to wait till Facebook extends the feature.
